Ally Designs accepts commisioned art work requests in the media of Batique color wash. It is a non-digital style with many steps. Starting with a Vellum paper, the artist uses graphite pencil followed by multiple layers of various colors of paint. On top of this is laid a layer of black India ink that, upon drying, is partially washed away. As in other Batique processes that use melted wax, the fun in this artist's work is never knowing completely how the resulting art work will turn out. Therefore, precise outcomes cannot be promised.

Ally Designs can turn your idea into a Batique color wash that you can frame for display. We can also convert it into a digital design that can be uploaded to a T-shirt printer of your choice for the clothing item or merchandise in which you are interested.
Designs can be created from your suggested topics and colors, although the result will be a combination of your suggestions, the artist's imagination, and the characteristics of the inexact technique. It is also possible for a client to request two or three versions and choose the one that is the most appealing.
Project ideas include subjects that can be colorful and don't need to be precise such as flowers, animals, fish, words and lettering, fantasy themes, etc. While it is possible to work from photos and drawings of pets and specific subjects, the results will always be colorful and abstract, not exact.

Due to the nature of the media, project sizes are usually between 3" and 10" per side. For larger sizes, e-mail the artist to determine if the project is practical. Pricing is $10 x the length of the longer side so a 9"x5" project will cost $10 x 9" = $90. Add 50% for a 2-version project or 75% for a 3-version project. In our example, this would be $90 + 50% = $90 + $45 or $135 for two results to choose from, and $90 + 75% = $90 + $68 or $158 for 3 results to choose from. Shipping is additional and varies with the size of the project.
